Challenge

GE recognised the need to deliver greater coherence, innovation and engagement across its key energy business units.

Content had to support customer engagement across marketing channels, cement GE as the partner of choice in the renewable energy supply chain, and build media relationships fostered on an understanding that GE is helping shape the future of renewable energy.

APPROACH

We took charge of GE’s tier 1 media strategy and engagement, thought leadership campaign support, global social content development, and social media training and strategy.

Working across several of its energy and power sector brands – GE Power Conversion, GE Power and GE Power Services – we crafted content on everything from LNG through to renewables, to the acquisition of Alstom, to revolutionise the firm’s storytelling capabilities. We’ve supported GE’s CEOs in telling their stories at key events, from WEF to GE’s own landmark Minds & Machines event, with engaging interactive content.

IMPACT

  • Our content has been viewed thousands of times, used to support media engagement in GE’s global markets, and helped secure opportunities with tier one media including The Economist, Financial Times, WSJE and BBC News Online.
  • It has also been used for direct customer engagement via digital, social and real-world channels.
  • GE Power also saw its social channels grow 500% since our work commenced, supported primarily by organic and performance content marketing efforts.
