Challenge

How could Hitachi ZeroCarbon grow its organic presence and compete more effectively in AI-driven search?

Hitachi ZeroCarbon needed to significantly improve its SEO and GEO visibility to boost brand awareness and attract high-quality organic and AI search traffic. It also wanted clarity on competitor performance, gaps in its own presence, and opportunities to reposition itself more effectively in the market.

There was a parallel goal to increase inbound enquiries by driving more targeted traffic to its solution-focused content. The challenge was not just technical, but strategic: to modernise its search presence and futureproof performance in the fast-evolving SEO and AI discovery landscape.

Approach

We kicked off with a comprehensive technical SEO and GEO audit, which helped define short-, medium- and long-term goals. This benchmarked performance and exposed priority content, structural and keyword optimisation opportunities.

Simultaneously, we ran a 360-degree analysis of key competitors and audience behaviours, reviewing organic reach, visibility in large language models (LLMs), and keyword share. Audience insights revealed a strong demand for educational and question-led content, which inspired a new thematic content strategy.

Our strategic SEO plan focused on:

  1. A restructured site content model aligned to how audiences search

  2. A forward-looking keyword map tailored to AI and organic search behaviours

  3. New and refreshed content shaped by future industry trends and audience demand

The final output: a powerful SEO, GEO and AI search programme underpinned by smart content, technical improvements, and a robust, insight-driven roadmap.
