We’re over the moon to share the news that together with our client, Qlik, Brands2Life has taken home the Global Integration Award at the PRWeek Global Awards 2020 for our work on The Data Literacy Project. The PRWeek Global Awards celebrate the transformative PR and marketing communications work that crosses global territories, as well as the best work in different regions. This is the second award for The Data Literacy Project having recently won The Drum Marketing B2B Integrated Campaign Award.
An expert panel of judges from across the US, UK, Europe, Asia, LATAM, Middle East, America and Africa reviewed the competition.
The judge’s commented on the success of the award-winning communications campaign:
“The strong strategic approach, the robust nature of the methodology, the careful selection of people and partners involved, and the outstanding campaign delivery created something of genuinely global significance. A highly ambitious campaign that made great use of partnerships to produce a genuinely stand-out and globally relevant narrative.”
In 2017, Brands2Life on behalf of Qlik, commissioned a major piece of research into the state of data literacy; the results were alarming. Less than one third (24%) of individuals were categorised as ‘data literate’. We set out an integrated, global communications strategy that would highlight the data literacy skills gap as an issue facing us all.
We developed ‘The Data Literacy Project.org’- a new social good enterprise, launched in October 2018. Its mission – to create a data literate world. The proposition: allow any organisation or individual to assess their data literacy, upskill and become fully certified data literate (a world first). Influencers and industry analysts have become vocal advocates of our movement and Gartner heralded the Data Literacy Project in its industry reports.
To date, 25,000+ individuals have assessed their data literacy, 20,000+ have upskilled with our free e-learning courses and 2,000 people have become certified Data Literate. We’ve delivered 800+ pieces of global coverage, national and trade coverage and positioned Qlik as the leading voice on data literacy, allowing it to inspire others to effect real change, resulting in a more data fluent society.
The awards were presented virtually which can be re-watched via the video below.
