GetYourGuide and Brands2Life embark on domestic tourism campaign

London, 17th August 2020 GetYourGuide, the online marketplace and booking platform for incredible travel experiences, has appointed Brands2Life in a competitive (virtual) pitch to support its latest campaign promoting domestic travel. The campaign is intended to encourage Brits to realise ‘it’s all here’, as the much-disrupted tourism sector tries to get back on its feet.

Headquartered in Berlin and founded by four classmates in 2009 after a travel mix-up, GetYourGuide has served more than 10 million customers from over 170 countries. The brand is on a journey to transform ordinary trips into extraordinary ones, by helping travellers alleviate the chaos, jump the queues and to not settle for ‘average’ when exploring new places. These goals are as true to local as they are to international travel. Recent major changes in how the public think and feel about travel, mean that even those that could travel abroad are prioritising safety and are more likely to staycation over the next 3 months.

Brands2Life has been appointed to develop and deliver an integrated UK campaign to raise awareness of GetYourGuide, while supporting the domestic tourism industry. The campaign will be led by socially-optimised owned content and influencer activation, and supported by a targeted earned media push celebrating national and local tourism destinations and visitor attractions. The campaign is designed to extend the brand’s reach and provoke online engagement with the UK travel audience, nudging Brits to book their next travel experience with GetYourGuide, right here in the UK.
