London UK – Through its industry-leading partnership with Family Action’s HeadStart programme, award-winning communications agency, Brands2Life, will continue to support HeadStart for a third year running and is committed to helping over 100 more people during 2024. In 2023, the agency supported over 120 young people with in the HeadStart programme from organisations such as London Tigers, Oxygen, Gloves Not Knives and Kinetica Bloco. During 2022, over 90 young people were supported by Brands2Life.
As part of the programme, Brands2Life hosts personal brand and career workshops, holds industry information sessions, helps develop CVs and interview techniques plus offers paid work experience to better assist disadvantaged local young people into the world of work.
Workshops, led by employees across the business, teach participants how to elevate their personal brand, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to impress at job interviews. Throughout the year, Brands2Life has led pro bono and fundraising campaigns to raise awareness of the programme as well as making donations to the charity.
HeadStart, run by national charity Family Action, is a youth employability programme that supports disadvantaged young people to develop the skills, experience and confidence needed to secure and stay in employment. More than 790,000 young people in the UK are not in education, employment or training, often due to poverty and disadvantage. The programme’s methodology, ‘Give Time, Gain Skills, Get Ahead’, helps disadvantaged young people learn about new industries and jobs that interest them, interact with volunteer employees, practice their soft skills and access new opportunities.
