UK Social Media Awards crowns Brands2Life Best In-Agency Team

Yesterday, the UK Social Media Awards celebrated the very best in UK social media communications by rewarding the individuals, companies and organisations who are using online platforms to communicate in fresh and innovative ways. Sadly, there wasn’t a ceremony this year, but the competition was as hot as ever.

We couldn’t be prouder to share that we have been recognized amongst the 2020 winners, not once, but TWICE, taking home the ‘Best In-Agency Team’ and ‘Best Direct Response Social Media Campaign’ awards.

Our work with BBI Healthcare on its Balance Activ campaign – ‘Maybe It’s Not Thrush’, took the top spot in the Best Direct Response Social Media campaign: an award to recognise an outstanding social campaign that delivered exceptional results against a defined objective and KPI – be that awareness, reach, engagement, ROI etc. The integrated campaign was collaboratively delivered by Brands2Life’s Social team and Health & Wellbeing practice, using digital content, paid social media, partnerships and earned media to drive traffic to the brand’s online symptom checker. Additionally, we enlisted top gynaecologist, Dr Shazia Malik, to advise and add credibility via a ‘Maybe It’s Not Thrush’ handbook, which was sent out to targeted journalists, alongside product samples.

The judges said of the ‘Maybe It’s Not Thrush’ campaign:

“We really liked the messaging and tone of this campaign. The results were amazing and we were particularly impressed by the way PR and journalists were integrated with the handbook. Results were clearly articulated, and were highlighted to display direct impact. This was a clear and memorable direct response campaign”.

Our second award win came in for our  Social, Influencer & Digital Content team who have had an exceptional year, leading them to win one of the biggest award gongs of the UK Social Media Awards – ‘Best In-Agency Team’.

Our 18-strong team of social specialists and content creators were commended for a standout year of social media strategy, influencer marketing, creative organic and paid social, podcasting and video production as well as for a year of ground-breaking campaigns and growth. Some of the teams highlights over the last year included:

  • Helping clients to make unprecedented impact – including a #1 market share position, double digit sales increases, social audience growth, uplifts in unaided brand awareness, lead gen, and outstanding engagement
  • Achieving growth – in revenue, team and professional skills
  • Deeper internal integration across Brands2Life comms practices – with the agency’s top 10 revenue clients now all including a social remit
  • An ever-expanding client list
  • Launching new services including paid social, podcasting, and our proprietary influencer tool PUNCH

The judges also said of the win:

“We can see this team has pushed boundaries and tried new techniques to drive impressive results for their clients. Their campaign examples are excellent, and we were impressed by the clearly defined objectives across their work”.
