To kick off the start of our fiscal year, earlier this summer, we held our semi-annual Brands2Life US Summit, where team members from across our three US offices (New York, Minneapolis and San Francisco) come together for an insightful, fun and action packed few days. These semi-annual in-person events contribute significantly to the sense of community, learning, support, and enjoyment that defines Brands2Life. This time around, the New York team had the pleasure of hosting everyone in the Big Apple.
Some highlights included Jonas Palmqvist, CEO of our new owner, Paritee, providing the US team with an overview of the Paritee brand and its extensive network, as well as background on his career and experience. Brands2Life Co-Founder, Giles Fraser, also joined the US team, sharing some brilliant examples of client work currently being executed by our colleagues across the pond at Brands2Life’s office in London. In addition, Rene Musech, Managing Director of the US, provided the team with an overview of our FY25 US growth plans.
We also held our monthly book club meeting during the Summit, exploring the major themes of Ben Horowitz’s The Hard Thing About Hard Things. We have a formal blog review coming on this soon, so I won’t spoil it, but we had a good session discussing management and growth.
Here are a few additional highlights from our time together, in the city that never sleeps:
Kicking off our jam-packed week, Brands2Life cohosted an AI happy hour with SVB Capital at the Célon Bar and Lounge at the Bryant Park Hotel. We connected with AI-focused founders, marketers and VCs and discussed industry trends and offered tips, tricks and communications best practices.
Just before our all-hands, Brands2Life US released our IPO readiness playbook. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here. With many IPOs being considered for 2025, now is the time for companies considering a liquidity event to start preparing. During our time in NYC, Jack Murphy, Vice President at Brands2Life, who supports with our IPO readiness offering took some the full team through the playbook and provide an update on the current IPO landscape.
It was a great week of catching up, trainings, and planning for the months ahead. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the fabulous dinners, we had at Cosme, a Mexican restaurant located in Flatiron and La Pecora Bianca, and Italian spot, in Midtown.
We all can’t wait for the next Summit in November, where, for the first time, we will all be travelling to the UK to join up with our London colleagues in person.
