What will it take for the UK to become a leading digital nation?
How to make the UK the leading digital nation
Digital innovation now impacts every corner of government, which is in itself a fundamental challenge for making the Government’s impending Digital Strategy work. Digital Minister, Ed Vaizey, even went so far recently as to admit that Government “isn’t co-ordinated enough when it comes to digital”.
So is the government really positioned to deliver the right five-year plan that will ‘plant our stake in the digital global market’?
These and other issues affecting digital growth will be the subject of a Brands2Life debate on Tuesday 19th April at Portcullis House, Houses of Parliament, from 08.30-10.30.
We’ll be joined by leading tech influencers including: our host Matt Warman MP, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Broadband and Digital Communication; Louise Haigh MP, Labour’s Shadow Digital Minister; Eddie Copeland, Director of Innovation at Nesta; Debbie Wosskow, CEO of LoveHomeSwap and Chair of Sharing Economy UK; and Antony Walker, Deputy CEO of techUK.
In preparation, we’ve been pulling together ideas and thoughts from across the tech community. It’s not too late to submit yours, if you haven’t already, via this form online.

We hope to see you there!
