Account Manager

From recasting corporate strategies through to rethinking environmental and societal impact, we deliver the stakeholder confidence required to propel organisations forward and give them the license to transform our world. The role sits within our Corporate Affairs & Responsible Business practice, a team that comprises corporate and sustainability comms experts – as well as our first class public affairs specialists. 

Clients in our team include FTSE 100 businesses, global FMCG brands and pioneering technology businesses and start-ups in some of the most exciting sectors such as fintech and insurtech.

  • Account managers in our team have responsibilities including: A pro-active account leadership role:  
  • This will mean working with your AEs and ADs to drive coverage with media that will deliver impact against our account objectives  
  • Meeting journalists to understand how they work and where our clients’ stories can fit in to their beats – we expect our Account Managers to support AEs building their experience with media too  
  • Ensuring written content is to a high standard and internally approved before it is shared with clients 
  • Delivering brilliant results – you know what works and are on top of cultural trends in media and across social platforms. You’re always inspired by what’s going on around you to help craft interesting pitches and ensure our sell-ins are always topical and can deliver impact.  
  • Day-to-day account and client management – to exceed client expectations; you’ll play a leading role in ensuring brilliant delivery of daily, weekly and monthly activity. You’ll be the main point of contact for your clients – keeping them up to date with account developments. 
  • Brilliant client liaison – we want you to hit the ground running – to instantly build rapport and instil confidence in our team’s ability to deliver  
  • Motivating teams – not only to do the job in hand and deliver strong client relations but also encouraging and supporting team members around you to grow and learn. 
  • Developing excellent written content – we want to help you develop as a PR professional and we give our Account Managers lots of opportunities to support with:  
  • Writing a range of content including Brands2Life blogs, client op-eds and briefing your AEs to write compelling pitches and press releases 
  • Briefing spokespeople 
  • New Business – we expect our Account Managers to support with the team’s new business pitches which will include research, support with deck proposal writing – as well as opportunities to present and pitch

In the interview process we’ll be looking for candidates to demonstrate experience, an interest in developing client strategies that support our communications goals, a passion for storytelling – and lots of enthusiasm.
