Account Manager – Health & Wellbeing

Following the onward success of our Health & Wellbeing practice since it launched in 2018, we are looking to hire an Account Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark and be part of a thriving founding team, working in an entrepreneurial environment alongside a wealth of experience and ambition.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about health, with a broad base of health tech, pharma and consumer health experience and a good grasp of the regulatory environment to support our fantastic portfolio of clients in advanced diagnostics, AI scientific discovery, women’s health, pharmacy and eyecare amongst others.

You will be a pro-active forward thinking and ambitious Account Manager with experience operating on large strategic accounts and a go-getting attitude. You will be someone who loves to unpick your client’s challenges applying insight, creativity and intelligent thinking to help devise the right solution. You will be a natural people person who enjoys building relationships – with clients, healthcare influencers/organisations and journalists. Being a keen writer with the ability to generate new campaign ideas and compelling content will also be key. Excellent attention to detail is a must have!

You will work on truly integrated projects that exceed our client’s expectations and continue to keep us ahead of our competitors.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Serve as the day-to-day contact for clients, building strong, trusted relationships
    • Understand client priorities, strategic objectives and communications goals
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of agreed workstreams, maintaining high client satisfaction
  • Strategic Planning & Execution
    • Conduct desk research to support strategy development, including competitor analysis, media landscape audits, stakeholder mapping and emerging trends within specific health and therapy areas.
    • Contribute to the development of communications strategies and tactical plans to support product launches, advocacy campaigns and business reputation
    • Identify opportunities to expand existing client work or propose proactive solutions
  • Content Development
    • Draft, edit and review a range of content including press releases, thought leadership, social copy, fact sheets and backgrounders
    • Support development of medical and health content utilising different channels and formats
    • Ensure all materials are accurate, on-brand and aligned with compliance standards
    • Be able to translate complex scientific intocompelling messages for different audiences (e.g. HCPs, patients, media, internal stakeholders)
  • Media Relations
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant healthcare and consumer media
    • Develop media strategies and targeted press lists
    • Pitch stories, arrange interviews and media briefings, and monitor coverage
  • Project & Budget Management
    • Oversee timelines, deliverables and budgets across multiple projects
    • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure smooth execution
    • Flag risks and propose solutions to keep activity on track
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership
    • Mentor and guide junior team members, supporting their professional growth
    • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment
    • Lead status meetings and ensure clear communication across teams
  • Measurement & Reporting
    • Track, evaluate and report on the impact of activities
    • Present results and insights to clients, making recommendations for optimisation
  • Compliance & Quality Control
    • Have a keen eye for attention to detail to ensure all materials meet regulatory, legal and internal review standards
    • Stay informed of relevant codes and best practices, such as ABPI, PAGB or EFPIA as applicable
  • Scientific Acumen
    • Have an interest and passion for science and health – a scientific background is an advantage, not a pre-requisite
