Video Production Manager
We have a new opening for a Video Production Manager in our busy in-house film team. Reporting directly in to our very talented Head of Film, you will be responsible for managing a seamless end-to-end production process for a multitude of exciting video projects across the agency. Working alongside a busy team of filmmakers, editors, camera operatives and client managers (who recently received a certificate of excellence in the Best in Brand Film/Video category at this year’s In2SABRE Awards), you will play a vital role as the link between the client, project plan and internal team.
As our in-house VPM you’ll ensure that everything runs like clockwork! You’ll help create project plans advising on timelines, budgets, resources and logistics, ensuring everything and anything is impeccably well planned, thought out and that everyone involved knows exactly what they are doing and when they are doing it for. You’ll ensure we deliver, on time, within budget and to the high standard both we and our clients expect. You will be working across upwards of five productions at any time, providing support to our in-house producer/directors. Please note, this is not a producer role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Budget forecasting and management
- Recruiting cast and crew / freelancer management
- Location scouting / risk assessments / health & safety requirements
- Overseeing teams of producers and editors on multiple simultaneous projects (75-100 projects a year)
- Liaising with client teams and clients to ensure project flow
- Identify video marketing opportunities
- Post-production administration and reporting
The ideal candidate will have the ability to hit the ground running and work on multiple projects simultaneously from concept to delivery at any given time, sometimes under quite tight time constraints. You will have a broad knowledge and experience of production disciplines, excellent client facing and account management skills and impeccable organisational skills. A passion for storytelling and a strong grasp on the fundamentals of framing, composition, and tone as it relates to video production is desired as is a demonstrated knowledge of Premier Pro and After Effects.
