We’re ‘passionate’ about our Drum DADI awards shortlisting
London, 11 September 2017 – We are delighted to share that we have been shortlisted at the Drum DADI awards which celebrates digital excellence in the industry.
Created with LinkedIn, our ‘You’re Better Than Buzzwords’ campaign, has been nominated in the Digital Media Strategy category. Every January, LinkedIn releases a list of the most overused “buzzwords” found on LinkedIn profiles around the world to help members understand how to stand out from the crowd, and encourage them to banish them from their profile. For example, if you consider yourself as ‘passionate’ about your work, so does 1.9 million others! By describing some of history’s heroes, such as William Shakespeare and Leonardo Da Vinci, with Buzzwords, we showed how uninspiring even the greatest people sounded.
The 2017 “You’re better than buzzwords” global campaign broke new ground for LinkedIn in the way that it used social media to educate, drive and track profile edits. The campaign generated 130,000 views of the Buzzwords SlideShare, over 2,400 mentions on Twitter and more than 460 pieces of coverage, a 72% increase from 2016.
